Workin’ on My Fitness
Olá, energia viva (hello, living energy in Portuguese), welcome to your Good Soul Daily for Tuesday, May 5, 2026, where today we’re talking about something I think we all need to revisit from time to time… our fitness and self-care routines.
I have a pretty steady routine, and that’s by design. I love to teach/do my 6:30am yoga, it grounds me, centers me, and sets the tone for my entire day. I do my best to walk the dogs at night, get that fresh air, that movement, that connection, and I weave in strength training after my 6:30 class. But if I’m being honest, that’s the area where I know I can level up a bit. And I think that’s the point. We don’t just create a routine and set it on autopilot forever. We stay engaged with it. We check in. We ask ourselves, where can I grow? Where can I get stronger? Where can I push myself just a little bit more? Because fitness, just like life, is meant to evolve with us.
One of the things I love most about Good Soul Yoga is the diversity. You can come in and get exactly what you need that day. Maybe it’s deep relaxation, maybe it’s a powerful, sweaty class, maybe it’s something right in the middle, or maybe it’s strength training, Inferno Hot Pilates or spin that gets your heart pumping and your body fired up. It’s all there, and that’s intentional. Because not every day looks the same, and your body doesn’t need the same thing every single day. The magic is in tuning in, staying present, and giving yourself what you need in that moment, not what you think you “should” be doing.
And even if you’re not local, this still applies to you. Wherever you are, whatever you have access to, use it. Explore it. Mix it up. Challenge yourself. Because taking care of your body is one of the greatest investments you can make in your life. It affects your energy, your mood, your confidence, your longevity, everything. So don’t just go through the motions. Be intentional. Be curious. Be invested in your own growth. Because when you show up for your body, you show up better for your life, and that is something worth committing to every single day.
